Boat Project – £13500.00
For sale unfinished Bruce Robert SprayHere is fantastic opportunity to acquire a much sought after bare hull steel Spray in need of completion. What you see is what you get. This is steel hulled Bruce Roberts Spray, that was professionally built as far I know. Finished in grey holding primerThe overall condition is new with a few rust patches on the interior where water had come through leaking hatch seals (it no longer leaks) and in the keel but this is only surface rust. The boat has 2 stainless steel tanks fitted under the floors (water) approx 250 litre each and two further tanks either side of the engine beds that are built into the hull I’ve always assumed they were to be fuel tanksThe engine beds are in place (there is no engine or prop shaft. Most of the floors are down (1 inch ply)At least 50% of the hull has been insulated with 1 inch polyurethane high density sheeting and is mostly battened ready for lining. The compression post has been removed (as I was intending to keel step the mast and junk rig the boat.) but is still in the boat and could be re welded into its original position. Most of the portholes are fitted (Vetus) and have been resealed. There are 2 deck hatch spacesThe interior is an empty vast canvas and would lend itself to many different layouts.Forward of the main cabin there is a crash bulkhead with a big anchor locker and gas locker and storage area accessed from the fore deck via a steel hatch. On deck She was built with an aft cockpit with access to the main cabin via a stainless steel sliding hatch.Aft of the cockpit is a large poop deckShe has stainless steel toe railsThere is also a set of sails although I have no idea as to what condition they are in.The boat is currently in Douglas Marine Boat yard PR4 6RR in west Lancashire where she could stay if you wished by negotiation with the owner (Grant Jackson) or she could moved from the yard with suitable transport.Work commitments mean that I don’t have the time to complete my dream, but she deserves the chance to sail the world. I have tried to be as honest as possible If you wish to view the boat you are more than welcome just call me and I’ll inform the yard, you will need to bring a ladder to gain access to the boat.I’m happy to answer any questions you may havecall me on 07905 283559Thanks for lookingChris
