30′ fast motor launch ‘INTERLUDE’ built by J Hornby, Wallasy, 1938 for Cunard.
Used to ferry passengers and crew on and off Liners.
Carvel built. The hull has 1/2″ WBX ply epoxied both sides and screwed to hull, full planks replaced. The cockpit and interior stripped back to mahogany and several coats of varnish, cover needs replacing, old one can be used as template, as with main aft canopy.
The steering is twin position by cable, rear for reversing and professionally rebuilt by previous owner.
Diesel engine (not the original). New rings injectors, fuel pump, by previous owner.
All original interior stripped back and re varnished – floor replaced. Engine access through toilet compartment.
Seating and bed boards replaced. All interior in tact and in good condition.
The stern and hull need work as it looks like a couple of the ribs are damaged, and therefor at present she isn’t watertight.
