A matched-pair, consecutive numbers, BCN (Birmingham Canal Navigation) pair of riveted ‘Joeys’; new on the market. This advertisement is for one of the pair however both are the same.Built during the 1950’s post-war period and used commercially in Birmingham & the Midlands until their recent retirement from ‘active-service’.Acquired in a very poor state pre-Covid outbreak, cajoled and nursed to our wharf in Staffordshire under tow. Cleaned off, emptied out and prepared for fresh steelwork and further paint, these two beautiful boats are ready for a new home as we concentrate upon our training and rescue operations.Reportedly built by ‘Harris’s of Netherton’ named after ‘Alfred Matty’ they DO require steelwork (although they floated here under tow!) Currently on hard-standing at a boatyard with full repair and conversion facilities they could be repaired / converted in-situ or taken off-site on transport (can also be arranged).Viewings by arrangement.
