We have been unable to translate the name Frijdom from the original Frisian, it’s original meaning must have been lost in the sands of time, but we imagine it means something like “loveable”, because that’s what this boat is.
There is some really strong old sailor energy in this boat and with some modernisation, there’s an opportunity to turn her into a comfortable and charming vessel while retaining all that charm.
You’ll find a lovely (and expensive) Refleks stove on board, an efficient and attractive way to heat the boat in winter. There is a basic galley and living quarters and 12v lighting throughout.
You can see the sea toilet in the engine room in the pictures; we will weld that shut from the outside so it can be replaced with a compost or cassette loo. We’ll leave it up to you whether you’d like to install it in the same place (so you can talk to the driver when you’re using it).
The engine and hull are in great shape and we encourage you to confirm this with a survey, we will lift the boat for free to accommodate this. The hull has been recently painted with new anodes.

As an import, there is no BSS but we can help you organise this. We can deliver anywhere in the UK for a fee or you can cruise away from the marina on the Grand Union canal, we’re around three days cruise from Central London. There is no mooring offered with this boat.
