Ahoy, fellow boaters, and a Happy New Year to you all!
Allow me to introduce Nostromo, a true gem among houseboats and the undisputed Queen of the canals. This splendid vessel, lovingly crafted with meticulous interior design, has been my cherished home for the past three years. Nestled in the heart of London’s waterways, Nostromo has not only provided me with a secure and cozy abode but also an uninterrupted journey of comfort and convenience.
As a relatively recent addition to the boating world, Nostromo boasts fully functioning systems that have been diligently maintained. Say goodbye to the hassles of limited water for daily showers or the hunt for the nearest laundrette or waste tank disposal service – Nostromo has it all covered. With her flat-bottomed design, she offers stability like no other, ensuring that my friends and family have always felt secure during their visits.
Equipped with 15 leisure batteries, a 2000-liter water tank, a 1000-liter diesel tank, and a 1000-liter waste tank, Nostromo can take you on extended journeys without the need for frequent services or refueling stops. And guess what? She comes complete with all the essentials for a self-sufficient life on the water – from a 12V fridge and washing machine to a 12V TV (perfect for movie nights) and all the necessary boating equipment, including ropes, fenders, a mallet, mooring pins, and even an anchor. The diesel engine not only powers your journey but also provides unlimited electricity and hot water, supplemented by six solar panels for those sunny summer days.

Description:
Nostromo spans an impressive 52 feet in length and 12.6 feet in width, featuring a cruiser stern deck, generously spacious living areas, a well-appointed kitchen, a comfortable bedroom, and a luxurious bathroom, along with a separate lavatory. Since 2020, she has had interior design and renovations, including new engineered cork flooring, a fresh paint application throughout, a kitchen upgrade, and an open-plan, contemporary main cabin. Thanks to her unique hull and updated interior design, Nostromo stands apart from traditional barge interiors, offering straight walls and a roof that create ample space for your personal furnishings and feels more like a house than a boat.
Having lived aboard Nostromo for three years while continuously cruising in London, I can attest to her perfect living and cruising systems, providing a reliable and enjoyable floating home. Her 52-foot length is ideal for widebeam cruising and mooring within the London area, making her an excellent choice for those considering permanent mooring. Nostromo has had only three previous owners, and further details can be found below. Feel free to get in touch to schedule a viewing. You can also request a video walk-through.
