This has
been a great little boat which I have owned for over 10 years. It is small
enough to tow behind just about any car, can be launched and recovered single
handed, yet it will comfortably take 3 adults (I have had 4 on a couple of
occasions).
It will take an outboard engine from 4hp – 10hp (No outboard engine included) and has forward controls for;
Forward/Reverse, Throttle and Steering. There are 4 rod holders, Navigation
lights (require a 12v battery, not supplied) and a bilge pump.
The boat itself is in sound condition and has never leaked. The topsides (all
the blue parts) and the outer hull are in original gel coat (the light blue
patches on the bottom of the hull are antifouling coating, which can be
scrubbed off, or re-coated). The cockpit and cabin interior have been painted
in the past and are in need of re-painting.
It is rare to find one of these sought after boats in original gel coat and
with the original fibreglass lockable door.
It has not been used for about 4 years, but I have full confidence that the
boat will be as good as when last used.
However, I’m not so sure about the trailer, it has rusted quite a lot in the 4
years that it has been standing, it looks usable, though I offer no guarantee
of this. I have checked the wheel bearings and they run smoothly with no rumble
or other nasty noises and the tyres hold air, but are cracked in places. I would recommend having it checked by a competent person before using.
