14ft Piranha dory work fishing boat INCLUDING outboard + trailer I’m retiring from the marine business.This dory has been owned by me and used for work for last 20+ years. The current outboard and trailer are also included in the sale.Dory:The dory is 14ft  long with a beam of just under 5ft. (4.20m x 1.50m)Really solid fibre glass build – quite battle scarred but lots of life left.Believed to be a Piranha dory, possibly dating from the early 80s.She has a cathedral hull similar to Dell Quays and Boston Whalers.The benefit is that she is supremely stable in the water with very low wash at full speed.She originally had an inboard steering wheel, chrome rails and a double skin hull.That is all long gone – She is now single skinned with a decking floor.A few weak sections of decking board but overall very solid.My use has only ever been in freshwater, on the non-tidal Thames,She does have a motor well so would be suitable for estuary and inshore coastal.Used mainly for towing and to ferry tools and marine parts on a daily basis.She can easily take a ‘1 tonne’ builders bag of concrete ballast and was once used in a pair to move a grand piano.Would benefit from filling in a few places but all well above waterline – we found epoxy resin the best filler.There is a permanently installed 12v bilge pump fitted to a truck battery. Pump as you cruise and charge with shore power every few months.Engine:Outboard engine is a 2-stroke long-shaft 5hp Yamaha – one of the best little engines ever.Fuel can be switched between a small internal tank or a remote tank – included in sale.It cost me £725 in 2021 and has had a full strip down service since then.Prior to me, it was rarely used as an auxiliary on a sailboat.I have only ever used in in freshwater.Now that boat and outboard are on dry land, I run up the outboard every 2 weeks.Trailer:Built by D&A trailers and is fully galvanised.Approx dimensions are 17′ by 6′, with the front 6’6″ removable.This equates to 5.1m end to end and 1.8m to outside of the mudguards.Axle position is adjustable.Winch position is adjustable.Rollers (1 pair not shown) are height adjustable.Bunks are height and width adjustable.All rollers turn and winch works well.Full rebuild 2021 inc complete new stub axles, hubs and bearings, mudguards, etc.Longest road trip 440 miles round trip Jan 2022.Trailer is a bit special, easy removal of drawbar gains maximum driveway space (see photos).The whole trailer can also be quick dismantled and fits INSIDE a mwb sprinter van.Trailer was barn stored when not required and is now boat-loaded, on blocks, with wheels removed and stored indoors.Extras:The sale includes everything that I have in connection with the boat.Ropes, fenders, security chain, boat hook, paddles. I even have the Red duster.Outboard lock, Yamaha remote fuel tank, petrol cans, Quicksilver 2 stroke oil, mixing jug.Trailer brand new spare wheels x2, rollers x2, light board and extension lead, 2 tonne ratchet straps x2.Basically, you need to bring only your towing vehicle and a horizontal rear number plate.Splitting:Yes, I’m willing to split the sale into component parts but ONLY WHEN the dory is sold.Please don’t make me offers on the trailer and outboard until then.Yes, I will take an offer on the dory only.
