16ft Microplus 501 fishing cabin day boat project 50hp outboard + roller trailer.****************************************************************************************For sale is my Microplus boat complete with roller trailer and 50hp Johnson Workhorse outboard engine.I have had this boat 3 years now and have had absolutely loads of fun in her up and down the river Adur and out to sea, recently having taken her all the way out to the new wind farm off Shoreham Harbour and she never missed a beat. I have comfortably had 4 people on her, the cabin is great for getting out of the elements and has seating and a small sink inside, some storage under the seats as well.I bought her in great working order but had always intended to do her up so purchased many different items including new lights, waterproof speakers, stereo headset, outboard fins, new white steering wheel, secondary outboard mounting bracket, pop up bimini cover, switch panel, fenders, waterproof cuddy boxes, stainless steel rails, deck paint, boat paint, manual bilge pump, life jackets, rod holders, deck cleats, ignition switches, porthole, rope, anchor, chain etc etc.Some of which i have already installed but many of which i have never got round to so she really is an unfinished project but perfectly seaworthy hence i have been slack in finishing her.Unfortunately i just don’t have the time to use her often enough anymore due to my expanding family and i definitely don’t have the spare time to finish the works i had intended, so unfortunately i am going to have to let her go, and as i have recently purchased a caravan, not quite as fun as boating but safer for a newborn 🙂 i could really benefit from some driveway space back.The trailer is a very sturdy heavy duty galvanised roller trailer that is perfectly suited to the boat, it has a recent jockey wheel, winch and tow hitch and tows without fault, nice and easy to launch and recover and never had any issues with it, i have seen similar trailers sell for close to the starting price so either way you will be getting a great deal.The outboard is an old two stroke 50hp Johnson Workhorse, i upgraded to this over two years ago now from the 18hp that was originally on the boat when i bought it and i never looked back, i looked it up and it appears to be ex Canadian military hence why it is absolutely bulletproof, literally never let me down, makes me feel safe even miles off the coast which is why i have never considered changing for anything newer. It comes complete with dual lever remotes and recent remote cables, it is battery start and starts really well, it also seems to have a larger than average prop which helps push it along nicely. Boat will be sold complete with fuel tank which still has some fuel in from the last outing, admittedly this was last year but i started her up after the winter and she started and ran fine as always. I have never serviced this engine as it was done just before i bought it so you may wish to do this if you feel necessary.
