The boat is currently owned by my uncle, a retired lifeboat
crew member with 20 years active service at Aberystwyth Lifeboat Station and
currently the RNLIs sea safety officer.
He has worked as manager of Aberystwyth Marina for many
years and is now approaching retirement hence the, very reluctant, sale of his
truly loved boat ‘Ma Chipe’.
Whilst running the day to day operations of Aberystwyth Marina,
Ma Chipe has been used for light
commercial sports/angling trips, sea surveys for the Sea Watch Foundation of
dolphins & cetaceans, support vessel for the Celtic Challenge rowing race
from Ireland to Wales, and of course for personal leisure!
Ma Chipe meets all
regulations for commercial fishing trips.
