48’ ex Herring Ring Net Trawler Fishing Boat. Built by John McLeans Shipyard on the Clyde in 1933. Perkins diesel engine pushes her along at steady 7 knots and uses around 7 litres per hour; 48v stainless steel windlass (fitted by Crinan Boats); 100m heavy galvanised chain; indestructible Rocna 55 anchor; spare anchor; deckwash; chartplotter; GPS unit; fish finder/depth guage; foruno radar, vhf radio; exhaust system (fitted by Crinan Boats)The hull is sound and was ferro-creted in the mid 80’s and is undamaged. The wheelhouse and the gunwales need some attention as they were at some time repaired using a softwood instead of hardwood.I have moved away and no longer have the time to give her the attention she deserves and I have decided not to renew the long term mooring berth so she has to go, with no reserve, and must be moved by end of September/early October from Crinan Canal, ArgyllThis would make an ideal live aboard project but please, no daydreamers, this is a big boat and too big for a transporter so she will need to go wherever she ends up under her own steam and you will need somewhere to moor/berth her or lift her out.Cosmetically she needs some work and she would also benefit from a full paint job hence why she is being sold with no reserve. This is a whole lot of boat for not a lot of money and looking for a new home – serious bidders only please – cleared funds only – no paypal
Current Price: £1000.00
