Nice boat still in original gel coat finsish (polishes up nicely) complete with seat cushions, rope, fenders, stainless handrails, swim ladder, fishing rod holders, stainless steel helm, auxiliary engine bracket and handy storage under the center and rear seats. The last picture shows a new acrylic light tint windscreen that I purchased for £150 just 3 months ago, but never got around to fitting – still with its protective coating. There is also a lightweight alloy frame to support a cover, (A cover is not supplied but they are available on eBay for about £30) Sitting on a very nice 750kg (heavily galvanised) SBS bunked trailer, (never been in salt water), fitted with a winch and aditional docking arms for easy recovery. Comes with a brand new trailer board with lights, and all the nesessary securing straps. (You just require your registration number plate) – (the trailer just cost me £750)The engine is a 40hp electric start Marina Marathon 2 stroke (we think about yr. 2000) Very easy to service as it is a twin cylinder single carb engine, it has just had a new sea water impeller kit, fresh gear oil and new spark plugs. The engine has power tilt only, (the power trim does work but it drops back slowly)’ this has never been a problem as it’s only used to tilt the engine when coming to the slipway, and the locking pin can be engaged from the helm. The previous owner had the auto lube removed as he prefered to mix his own (50:1), all the parts are present and I think it could be put back on by a competent engineer. It also comes with the manufacturers service manual. The boat gets onto the plane very quickly and has clocked 30mph using a Garmin watch with three grown men and fishing gear aboard. A very smooth and economical 25mph and a nice dry ride. Salcombe flyers have an excellent reputation as a good tough and sea kindly boat and are still in production. Thanks for looking, I hope the pictures and text cover everything, Collection only as I no longer have a tow vehicle (OX13) 7 miles west of Oxford off the A420 road to Swindon.
