1998 Avon Adventure 4.01 RIB4m long, 1.85m wide, so a nice spacious rib. Solid GRP hull in good condition, orginal white gel coat. Some light scratches but no damage or repairs. Transom and deck also in orginal gel coat, again in great condition with no damage or repairs. Moulded anchor locker in the bow. GRP steering console and bench seat. Tubes are hypalon and have never been patched or repaired. They are in good condition. Some staining and would benefit from a clean but look good for its age. They hold air forever and do not need topping up.The RIB is powered by a lovely 2007 Mariner 25hp two stroke outboard. The boat is rated for 50hp, but being so light it goes along nicely with the 25 easily pushing it up on the plane. The engine is low hours and has only ever been used in fresh water. Some scratches etc, but under the hood is mint. It is a fantastic runner. Manual start and manual tilt. It selects gears nicely. Pumps plenty of coolant water. The engine has a charging output to keep the small 12v battery charged. Recently serviced.The console is fitted with a Raymarine VHF in good working order and a fishfinder/transducer which appears okay, but I don’t fish so this is untested. Steering and control box are relatively new. The RIB is sat on a nice bunked Hallmark Merit trailer. It is galvanised and is fitted with a winch and jockey wheel. The bearings are good as are the wheels/tyres. It has just completed a 150 miles trip with no issues. A lighting board is included. Overall this is a nice package, Avon are quality boats and whilst it is showing some signs of its age it has plenty of life it in. Powered by a super reliable engine making this ready to use! Nice and lightweight, easy to tow and launch single handed with a small vehicle. £200 deposit to be paid upon purchase.
