Reluctant sale, but sadly I have not been able to use RIB much this year. On water photos are from last year, the other photos were taken a few weeks ago. Please read description below, if you have any questions just ask.This is a very rare ex MOD 4.7m hull, it is 2001 so fairly recent in searider terms. Tubes are hypalon and are full navy spec, heavy duty rubbing strakes, reinforcement straps, storage bags etc. There are a few minor patches but they hold air well with no leaks. The rubbing strip at the rear port side has peeled back slightly and could do with re-gluing. The hull is in good condition, again built to MOD spec, so it is a heavy duty layup with heavy duty deck. The original flooding hull has not been blocked off. The transom is solid. There are some scratches to the hull but overall it is very good. It’s been painted in the past, the MOD painted all their hulls and it could be stripped back to the gel coat with some care. The console is from a 5.4m searider and has a custom made base to allow it to fit into the 4.7. It is a large console, but it is extremely comfortable and secure. The base of the console is used for storage.In 2023 the boat was completely rewired and re-rigged with no expense spared. The front of the console houses the battery with new fuse panel, new battery isolator, switch panel and usb phone charger. Brand new hydraulic steering was fitted along with a new steering wheel. The rear A frame was fitted with new LED navigation lights, spot light and VHF antenna. There is a Lowrance DSC VHF fitted.
The engine is a 2012 Mariner 60hp EFI, it is a longshaft, fourstroke with power trim and tilt. The engine is a great runner and starts up easily. Pumps plenty of coolant water and selects gears smoothly. It was previously owned by a port authority and has high hours, 7500. However it has been maintained regardless of cost and fully serviced on a regular basis. Last service was August 2023. It has not been used much since. The control box and control cables were brand new in 2023. The engine is fitted with a vesselview mobile module which provides RPM, faults etc via bluetooth to a mobile.
The whole outfit is sat on a lovely galvanised road trailer. Recently fitted with a new set of rollers. It tows very well with good wheels, tyres and bearings. The lights on the trailer don’t work, buyer will need to bring a lighting board.Note that the chartplotter is not included as I am keeping this, there are also no fuel tanks included as I had been using fuel bladders. Plastic tanks are easy to obtain.
Overall this is a great boat – I have owned 4 SR 4.7’s and they really are the ultimate small rib. This example, being ex mod is solid and looks great. I have had some great fun in it.
