The boat is still in very very good condition and always been looked after. Had many holidays and taken it all over, from the river seven to cardigan bay, even been to Cornwall in a storm but that’s a long story. If you are interested in reading more I will add some holiday details near the end but it will be a long read.Don’t think for a minute that this is in perfect condition, it is brilliant but it is used, a few dirty marks but never been punctured. It still has the original repair pack in the bag, just never needed it. The boat is like a river raft material so it is very tough. For reference on the boats size, if you refer to the pictures, I am 6 foot. The electric motor does look a bit scruffy but that is only on the main pole where the paint has come off due to use. It still works like it should and I have always washed it off after been in salt water. I suppose you could paint it if you wanted but it has never bothered me. Like I said, it’s used. The motor isn’t going to make it take off like a jet ski, it’s more of a nice cruise and plenty enough to splash you in a few light waves. I have actually used this to tow 2 other 2 man canoes (at the same time) with people in them so it’s easily powerful enough for the boat. With a fully charged battery it will last on full power for about an hour, this does depend on many factors such as how many people are in, weight, which way the water or wind is going. 1 hour is just an average. That’s on full speed though. There are 5 forward speeds, if you drop it down to speed 4 it will go for about 3 hours. Speed 3 is about 4 hours. Again these are all estimates. Running up a river on full power will drain the battery quicker, turn around and go down river you can use a slower speed and get much more run time. The life jackets have never been used, they are actually my spare jackets as I have others. 2 young child jackets, I would guess around 4 to 6 years, the adults is a medium. Being completely honest with you here, I’m not going to give you the manufacturers sales pitch. It will not inflate and be ready in 5 minutes, Especially if you are using the motor. I’m use to this and have a routine, it takes me about 20 minutes from the boot of the car to the water on my own. Packing, when I brought it everything was in one bag (not the motor) but like many things there is no chance that it will go back in and I have never even tried. Boat will go in the bag relatively easy but the rest is better apart. It will easily fit into the boot of a small car as you can see from the pictures. Amazing how small it will go. I have roof racks on my car and I inflate the boat before going to the lake (or sea) and pop it on top of the car, saves loads of time. Any questions please feel free to ask.. Read on if you want holiday chat. Like I have mentioned, this has been all over. The original intention for the carpet was so I can take a dog with me but never did, I didn’t trust my dog as she thinks she is a dolphin. Not a chance she would have stayed in the boat.. When I had this my partner was a little worried on it tiping over in the water. Being the big child that I am I took this out in a bit of a surf. Cardigan bay, porthmadog. The beach launch was hilarious, getting it over the waves. Then I tried my hardest to tip it over in the waves. Trying to get the boat side on into the waves while leaning to the other side, the boat did eventually fill up with water and that just made it even more difficult, I didn’t manage to tip it and she was happy that it was safe enough, jumped in and off we went for a trip to Criccieth castle. Took about half an hour in the boat, speed set to slow with my feet up relaxed.Another holiday (with a caravan) I took the boat to Morfa Nefan. Lovely little place and we stayed just outside of Nefan. There is a lovely hidden beach that has no road going to it. You park the car and walk for an hour to get there. Unless you have a boat. We took the boat out from the site we were at which was the next bay up and off we went. I added a picture of the boat tied to a buoy where we spent a few hours. A meal and drink in a pub and boat back to our site. What a lovely day it was.Now Cornwall. St Ives to be precised. The benefit of it being able to fit in a bag and easy to transport. It was a good holiday but the weather wasn’t exactly the best for a smallish inflatable boat. The last day came and I was determined to go out as I didn’t have chance previously (big child). Knowing that the boat is quite stable I decided I’m going out, even in the waves. I’m a big boy and as brave as they come. My partner would say I’m as stupid as they come and she may have been correct on this occasion. I got the boat out and the waves were crazy, completely underestimated the conditions as it didnt look that bad from the shore but they were higher than the boat. The front of the boat dipped down the first wave as the wave came over the front of the boat. I panicked and quickly stared to row back to the quay. The look on my face seing my partener stood in 3 foot of water next to me laughing her head off. What a wolly I felt. Turns out that I had only gone 3 feet, panicked as the first wave wet my feet and I wet myself haha. I learned from that to always check the weather first, and check again before going. That leads me to the reason for sale. I have managed to convince my better half to allow me to buy a bigger boat. What could possibly go wrong?
