The engine is a 5 hp Tohatsu four stroke, it has recently been serviced (new oil, fuel filter, impeller etc.) it usually starts first or second pull. I have used the boat up to 5 miles out to sea and it has always proved reliable and seaworthy for a medium sized boat. After every trip the boat has been washed and the engine has been flushed with water. It’s not perfect, a couple of patches etc. but it keeps rock hard and loses very little air over a week. A pair of launching wheels are fitted so that one person can launch and recover.
