This is an outstanding example of a Zodiac 550 Pro 5.5M 11man rib 100hp outboard and brand new trailer. It is ideal for coastal cruising or bay hopping and is perfectly balanced with a pristine reliable and economical fuel injected four stroke 100hp Suzuki power tilt outboard serviced last week by Suzuki main dealership and service centre Fairweather Marine on the 23rd August 2021. The full service included a diagnostic report showing no faults present and just 166 hours total run time.
As the boat has done just 166 hours, it is in excellent condition, absolutely stunning, the hull is polished and like new, the whole package is virtually unmarked and like a brand new rib, it has been meticulously maintained has always been kept under cover and has had no expense spared. Serviced just last week, it also has a full documented service history for every year with all operating manuals. The Rib was purchased from Zodiac dealers Pennine Marine and the new price for this rib with this set up and these extras is over £40,000 and this one is like new. If you are thinking of buying a new rib you should seriously consider this boat as it genuinely looks as good as it does in the pictures- unmarked.
It comes with a brand new quality 1300SR super roller Extreme 1300kg braked trailer (£3200 new) which was built on the 19th of August 2021 complete with a flush kit and 24 months warranty from collection.

RIB
This rib is remarkable in as much as it feels more stable and handles better than many 6.5M boats and that’s down to its huge beam of 2.5M and very large tubes, it’s also why they are extremely popular chase boats, safety ribs and touring ribs. You could go virtually anywhere in this rib, the hull design and tube diameter ensure that you stay dry and safe and it out performs many other ribs on the market. There is ample room, storage and power for two families on board. It has a great layout with seating for two at the bow, seating for two behind the helm and a large bench seat bolster that makes this rib a very practical boat. 100hp is enough to ski with two families on board unlike many ribs underpowered where you have to leave them on the beach to enjoy watersports! There is a boarding ladder which is essential after a swim or skiing – it’s surprisingly hard to get on a rib without one! A ski post at the optimum height for watersports and an expensive Ballistic stainless steel performance prop (£400) to aid acceleration and pull skiers up quickly. It also comes with the original aluminium Suzuki propeller.
There is a big difference from this rib to many other cheaper models as the console and seating are moulded as opposed to separate console units screwed and glued to the floor. Obviously this has significant advantages particularly structurally as the mouldings for the rear seat give immense strength to the transom and the steering console is a strong integral part of the boat. The other advantage of this is the lockers offer a huge amount of storage, the centre console opens up easily on gas struts to reveal vast storage for wakeboards, skis and even an auxiliary outboard. The non slip deck is spacious and it is comfortable to walk around and is particularly safe for children as the boat moves very little from side to side and is very stable a totally different experience to 5M and smaller ribs this has a large boat 6m+ feel but at a practical 5.5M that will go in a double garage .
The built in tank holds 75 litres and is under the floor which means the storage lockers are free from fuel for personal belongings. Another advantage of Zodiac ribs is that the PRO550 has removable tubes which means there are never any bonding issues to the hull and if you ever need a repair it’s easier to manage or replacement tubes if ever required can be purchased off the shelf. It also makes the rib very practical for storage as it will pack down from 2.5m x 5.5M down to approximately 1.75 x 4.5M.
The hull section is fantastically strong with a thick grp double skin and the five chamber 57cm diameter tubes make this boat a very capable boat for almost any conditions. This is probably the most ideal size of RIB for sport and family fun as it is easily manageable single handed, cheap to run, a fantastic sea boat that gives you a really safe feeling with young family.

Outboard
It is perfectly set up with a 100 hp EFI power trim and tilt electric start Suzuki outboard that is in superb condition. Often you will see 5.5M ribs with 60 and 70hp outboards but 100 gives you the power you need on a 550. It’s quite startling the performance, the recommended horse power is 90 with a maximum of 120hp, we feel the 100 is a perfect match It is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic order, it accelerates very impressively and smoothly and feels so stable at speed , The 100hp outboard is very powerful and practical for this rib and ideal for pulling a monoskier, wakeboarder or inflatables with two families onboard. Instruments include rev counter, speed, tilt gauge and fuel gauge. This is a pristine engine. It starts first flick of the key, always meticulously washed through with no corrosion. It is quite rare to have service history with a boat especially after every fifteen hours or so every year. We have every receipt from the same dealership each year showing £££s of expenditure but only on servicing no repairs. We also had the outboard serviced by Suzuki dealership Fairweather Marine for peace of mind on the 23rd August 2021 this was a full service with water pump (£400) Next service is due in August 2022.
Trailer
The trailer is a brand new Extreme 1300SR super roller fully braked galvanised 1300KG swing beam trailer. It was built on the 21st of August 2021 and comes with 24 months warranty from collection. We added a flush kit to prolong the life of the brakes and hubs.
The roller trailer is very well engineered and makes launching and recovering easy thanks to the swing beam. It comes with a brand new trailer board .
I can guarantee you won’t find a Zodiac 550 of this year as immaculate as this boat. The proportions and layout of this rib are just right, it’s an ideal boat for any family and for all watersports.
These boats hold their money so well so you know your investment is safe. Whoever buys this boat is buying an excellent example with a recent £400 service. This is not like the scruffy ribs, poorly maintained without history that you may find on the internet, this is one of the best. New this package would be over £40,000 with a trailer.
