A generic term in many parts of the world Zodiac have been going strong for over 100 years. With a maximum capacity rating of 9 passengers the Pro 500 has a payload rating of over a tonne (1060kg). The Pro 9 is one of the most highly regarded ribs available, these boats were designed to be tougher than the rest and withstand Zodiac’s rigorous safety tests and to have a higher level of quality than the majority of the market. The hull section is fantastically strong with no weak points around the transom due to large longitudinal supports, a thick GRP double skin and five chamber half meter diameter tubes which makes this boat very capable for almost any conditions.

It is perfectly set up with a 60 hp Yamaha low hours power trim and tilt electric start four stroke outboard that has just had a full service. This rib is fitted with a practical steering console with additional seat in front which offers a good amount of storage with a large bow locker with bow cushion. The 60hp engine is very powerful on this rib and it flies along, it’s practical and economical and capable of pulling a mono skier, wakeboarder or inflatables and it has a  25 litre tank under the seat.

This is probably the most ideal size of RIB for sport and family fun as it is easily manageable single handed, cheap to run, a fantastic sea boat that gives you a really safe feeling with young family and this size is about the biggest that will go into most garages. Any bigger and it would need to be on a fully braked trailer that adds a lot of maintenance costs and expense.

4.7 Meter Pro 500 2005 in super condition, immaculate hull and new interior with excellent tubes with no UV fading, no repairs and the tubes stay rock hard. Stainless steel A frame, full Navigation lights. Battery Isolator, New Speed gauge, battery condition/ charging gauge. Bow cushion. Category C rated. 

Category C definition – Inshore: Designed for voyages in coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers where conditions up to, and including, wind force 6 and significant wave heights up to, and including, 2m may be experienced.

The outboard is a real gem and starts first flick of the key and runs so quietly. Plenty of power for this rib that will comfortably pull a skier with a family on board. The four stroke is very economical and has excellent acceleration with this stainless steel prop. The outboard has just had a full service including water pump, new gear and throttle cables for effortless control and for peace of mind has had all the internal and external anodes checked and replaced as necessary. The fuel system has been drained flushed and refilled.

It comes with a brand new trailer board and the rib will be strapped down ready to go, you will just need a number plate.

The proportions and layout of this rib are just right, it’s an ideal boat for any family and for all watersports. This is a light 750kg un-braked package but if you are concerned if your car can legally tow this rib please contact us for advice.
