Here for auction is my 1997 SeaDoo GTI 720cc 3 seater jet ski on trailerit
has some scuffs and scrapes around the hull but still looks decent,
worst one being a crack on the front hood corner around 2 inches long,
it hasn’t effected the strength or functioning of the hood opening or
closing.since owning this i have done the following:stripped and cleaned the carbsorted an air leak from the oil pump which now has a plate over it to blank it off (premix now)repaired the starter motordrilled and tapped the exhaust manifold (needs done again as it has snapped one of the factory bolts now…typical)cleaned the engine baysecured and properly sealed the stator plate coverreplaced the old plug boots with NGK 5k resistor boots.re-crimped the overheat sensor to the cylinder headrecently had a replacement dess post and lanyardI
purchased it off of the previous owner who was not a great mechanic or
totally honest, hence why I’ve spent so much time and energy getting it
to this stage and I’ve simply had enough.i
took it out for an evening for 3 hours of fun and that is when it
snapped the exhaust stud where the expansion meets the manifold (not
where manifold meets barrels)the
engine runs well and the jet pump is in good shape, it will plane with 3
people on no problems, and is fairly nippy for having a big hull and
720cc engine.it
was experiencing the classic hot start issues but i think this was
mostly down to the air leak which is now sorted, the primer kit that it
has helps alot with this common 720 rotax issue. it always starts but
sometimes it takes some cranking, only when hot and not every time.it now needs some fine carb tuning in the water as i was tuning around an air leak unknowingly.compression is over 130 in both cylinders.so running easy project for someone, new manifold bolt and fine tune on water and its ready to go.due to age sold as seen with no warranty implied or given , its 21 years old link
to first video of first time i ever took it on the water (near the end a
loose plug boot falls off and takes the very loose (now fixed) temp
