This is a failed project which I got into to help mate out.
The plan was to buy, refurbish and sell on but the costs went out of control and the profit out of the window. It’s been sat, nearly finished in my garage for a good few years.
The best bits
You get an essentially brand new Indespension Vario bunked trailer which although it’s been in my garage for a few years has only ever made one journey from Trident Trailers in Sittingbourne to my house. Comes with light board.
You get a brand new Gel battery on the jet ski
The ski itself has had the lower part of the hull professionally painted in the same Silver as the top part and the faring has been painted in a gloss black to a similar standard so this one has a completely unique look to it. The hull didn’t come out quite as well as we hoped (few imperfections) but not bad.
It’s data tagged but will need a new number and sticker kit.
It fires up OK with the new battery.
It’s fairly low hours. I can’t remember how many and the counter seems to have reset to zero since it’s been in storage so long.
The bits of tidying needed
The steering cable is seized so will need to be replaced
Some of the decal and sticker work is a bit iffy. My mate tried to re-use some of the original decals and stuck them on with evostick and put bad carbon fibre effect overlays on top. You’ll probably want them off and some evostick solvent will probably do it.
He’s put the datatag number on in very loose silver stick on letters which will probably come off quite easily. I don’t want to try to remove them since paint and bodywork just isn’t my thing he was clearly Pi**ed when he did it because it isn’t he same number on each side and one goes downhill.
A bit (but really not much) of reassembly is required. The faring needs securing to its hinge and the instrument binnacle needs screwing back on. I haven’t done this since if I do I then can’t actually open it up when is in the garage. The rear electrical box, rectifier and glove box need screwing down. The wing mirror glasses need re-fitting. I’ve got all the bits for those bar one mirror glass and there’s a plastic mirror replacement kit which needs cutting to size to cover that.
The hemispherical cover for the data gauge is damaged but I have it. The gauge will be OK without it.
Two fresh air ducts have been taken out, probably to gain access and I’m not sure exactly how they go back in.
There may be a few missing fastners and odd bits and pieces etc but I’ll give you what I have.
The big front tub is a bit cracked at the bottom but can easily be patched with some fastglass
There are a few decals with it and also the big round BRP badge which goes on the back.
I need it gone because the garage it lives in needs some rebuilding work and I have to get it out for that to happen.
This could be an absolute bargain for somebody!
I’m going to start at a grand since that isn’t really much over what the trailer would cost on its own but look at what you get on that trailer!
A steering cable and a day’s work will get you a really decent jetski!
Cash on collection please.
I WILL NOT END THE AUCTION EARLY AND THERE IS NO “BUY IT NOW PRICE” SO PLEAE DON’T ASK
PS if you’re not any good at remembering to bid then google hammersnipe
