For sale is my 1999 Yamaha XL1200 Jet Ski. Fully working.This ski has been looked after over it’s years by myself and it’s previous owner. It’s stored with it’s cover on (Included). It has very few scuffs and bumps that come with docking and moring. Overall, it is in fantastic condition for it’s age.These 3 Cylinder 2 Stroke Engines are known for being one of the most reliable engines and this one is no exception, having been serviced by Sam Merrell at Fat Boy Jet Ski, I am more than confident that this ski remains a prime example for it’s age. The only modifications this ski has had, is it’s solas impellar that was refurbished with it’s laster service and blocking off of it’s rear visual spray (Personal preferance and better for towing inflatables)
The only common fault these ski’s had, were the oil pumps and chokes. Fat Boy Jet Ski’s eliminated both of these problems for me entirely by removing the pump in favour of pre-mixing the fuel (preventing any nasty suprises) and installing a fuel priming pump. Simply add fuel, add oil and off you go, whether it’s the first ride of the day, week or month it will start with a few pumps.
This ski has been brilliant fun for me and the family, having been used mostly on fresh water to tow, splash or race about it has never missed a beat. Though it’s had limited use on the sea, everytime it did see the salt water it was flushed through using the only cleaner I’d recommend BluThru.It is a very stable ski and it’s very good for new rider, experienced riders and joy riders alike. We’ve had it 2 up, with enough food and drink in it’s underseat storage and extra fuel in it’s front storage that we’ve lasted the entire day down a river.
This ski has a top speed of 54 MPH. But do not feel for a second that it’s size subtracts from it’s steering. This thing sticks to the water like velcro in the corners. It will go as hard as you can hold on, it simply does not disappoint.
The only reason I am selling this Ski, is because I want to compete in the JSRA Races and I need a ski that will do closer to 70 MPH and I simply don’t have the space to store another ski. So unfortunately, this must go.
Naturally, this Ski is on it’s own trailer that will go with the sale. It’s had new bearings and I grease it every other launch. It has a lightboard that intergrates with the trailer with a 7 pin plug, that will of course go with the ski.
