1978 springer narrow boat ‘Lamp Lighter’Bullet proof twin cyclinder lister engine Bought this with the intentions of finishing it but not enough time so I have come to the decision to sell without going any further with the interior so the future owner can design as they desire. The next job was to rip out the wooden floor as it had water damage due to rain getting in whilst the windows were out being refurbished (polished and laqured). It needed ripping out anyway as its the original floor from 1978. The person who I purchased the boat from had just spent £10,000 having the hull fully over plated in 7mm plate which has been done to a very high standard. they had this done in 2017 and its only been in the water for a short period of time after to move it and has been dry docked ever since. I purchased with confidence knowing I had a good solid structual base to work from.I removed all windows and stripped this boat back to bare metal, chopped any remaining rot out and bad previous repairs. I had a fabricator weld from 5mm ( above water line) plates back in. He put 15ft of handrail back that was missing, welded new floor supports in, a tilla support plate, new stainless steel perforated steps, plug welded every unnecessary hole (all documented in photos) It was primed three times and professionally spray painted for a flawless finish.the hull has been blacked from side to side and underneath with 2 x coats Both annoids are in excellent conditionPropeller has been polished and laqured all windows have been refurbed with brand new rubbers and seals and brand new 4mm toughened glass (all stamped with the kite on the glass)All brass work polished, lacquered and re fittedThe inside has been completely stripped out and painted with 2 x coats of red oxideIts got a top of the range Amtrim canvas which was purchased for over 5000 and is basically brand new. I have the front and rear ropes which are in very good condition and also some left over paint including 2.5L of the green which is missing from the photo but it is there, and a few other bits and pieces (see photo)the boat stands are not included but can be purchased separately if neededIt weighs around 6 tonn and it fits on the back of a wagon with a hiab ( see last photo), it cost me £380 to move from Doncaster to huddersfieldwill be sad to see it go If you would like to view please contact me on 07397915692
