20′ Springer Waterbug narrowboat ‘Santz’- perfect for a single person live aboard (as I have done), or a small weekender boat. About six foot headroom. Easy to maneuver and moor anywhere in London including central London (zone 1-2) where space is very limited. Built in 1987, electric start Yamaha 9.9hp petrol outboard. Outboard serviced February 2017 including all gaskets cleaned/replaced. New gear arm fitted in autumn 2017. Retro fitted tiller steering makes moving and turning very easy. Full hull survey completed in February 2017 hull is in good condition due to high quality overplated done on the entire hull and anodes shown to be in excellent condition. Blacking is in good condition but should be redone in the next 6 months to a year.Double berth bed that folds into two smalls sofas with a desk space at the front and bookshelves.Running cold water with a Rinnai water heater. Water tank is large enough to last for over a month for single person live aboard use. Water heater needs a service and is currently not working. Double hob, grill, oven and sink in the galley space are all in good working order. 3 calor gas bottles included with sale. Thetford portapotti toilet and shower installed in a separate room. Just needs shower tray to make it a full wet room. Boatman stove had glass and rope replaced in January 2018. Two leisure batteries charge from the engine or from the solar panel on roof. Can be hooked onto shore power. Wiring for an inverter is in place.Included will be a small easy to use petrol generator, windlass, ropes, mooring pins, petrol canister, and water hose.BSS until 2021, Canal and River Licence until July 2018. Both available to view on request. I currently have RCR silver coverage which, if possible could be transferred to the new owner as the year is paid for. Cost of running and maintaining are incredibly low due to outboard engine and small size. Canal and river license was £550 last year. Currently located in East London around Mile End.She’s been a great boat! I’ve very much enjoyed living aboard Santz, but am planning on travelling Europe and so selling her on.
