New Dawn is a 2018 Tyler
Wilson 58’ Semi Traditional Narrowboat fitted out by Norton Canes Boat Services
in 2019.
The specification when built
was as follows:

Description:
Stepping onto the bow of New Dawn the well deck of is
an open area, the deck has a non-slip surface and steps lead down through
glazed front doors into the main bedroom.
Bedroom 1:
Steps lead down from the well deck into the main
bedroom which has a double bed and large wardrobe. There are two large storage
lockers built into the steps. The bedroom has a television socket, allowing a TV
to be wall mounted on the bulkhead.
Bathroom:
As you move through the boat the bathroom is next.
It is equipped with a large shower cubicle with a bifold door, deluxe Jabsco
macerator toilet with a large pump out tank and a ceramic sink mounted in a
vanity unit. There are several cupboards in the bathroom.
Bedroom 2:
The bedroom has two single beds that convert to a
double bed if required, the bedroom also has a small wardrobe and cupboard. There
is storage under each bed.
Saloon:
New Dawn has a large saloon with fixed ‘L’ shaped
seating, which has been tastefully upholstered. The seating has storage underneath
and can seat several people. There are two separate tables, one large and the
other, small. These are fitted with Desmo legs and can be used in a few configurations.
The tables and legs can be removed and stored away when desired. The seating converts
to an additional double berth utilising the tabletops.
There is a second Television socket situated over a
corner unit which also contains a Wi-Fi unit. The Wi-Fi unit and television are
connected to a Maxview aerials and antenna located on the roof.
There is a duck hatch between the saloon and the
galley.
Galley:
The galley has units on both side of the boat. The
work surfaces are laminate with oak edging and the cabinets and doors are
constructed from oak. The sink and drainer are stainless steel with a high
quality mixer tap. There is a microwave and toaster which I believe are included
in the sale. The galley is equipped with a Thetford 4-ring gas hob, a Thetford
gas oven and grill and a Shoreline 12v fridge. There are a variety of cupboards
with one housing the electrics. The control for the Webasto heating is also
located in the galley.
Steps lead up to the semi-trad deck.
Semi Trad stern deck:
The semi trad deck has lockers on both sides for
cruising equipment. Under the deck is a Beta43 with a PRM150 gearbox, the
engine has a hospital silencer to keep noise to a minimum. To the stern of the
boat is another hatch with access to a wet weed hatch. This is a great design
as it removes all risk of flooding into the engine bay if the weed hatch is tightened
enough.

was last blacked however being a 2-pack blacked in 2019, she should be ok for another
2 years at least.
·
There are three fire extinguishers,
fire blanket, fire and CO alarms onboard.
·
Fuel shutoff and battery
isolation points are marked and located in the engine bay.
·
She has been regularly serviced
by myself (Marine engineer by trade) and another competent person.
