“BUD” : A well loved 30 ft cruiser stern 4 berth. Built by the highly respected Bridgewater Boat Company in 1991 with top quality British steel unlike today’s new builds or other boat builders. Traditional flat bottomed narrow boat. As you enter the door there is a made up bed on the port side with cupboards and wardrobe at each end and lots of storage under the bed. Cabin seating also converts into a bed. Shower and vanity unit/cupboard and 16 litre cassette toilet in the bathroom. Paloma gas water heater heats the water to the shower and two sinks.. Large freshwater tank fitted in the bow supplies the sink, shower and basin (new pump recently). Mains hook up with 15 Meter cable. 240 volt Microwave , fridge and freezer. Kettle toaster pots pans etc. Two gas camping stoves and a 240 volt petrol generator for outside use. Log burner in the main cabin with new chimney outside. Lots of storage under the cabin seating and shelving under the galley sink and starboard side. Blackout curtains fitted to main bed area portholes and cabin windows, pull down blinds fitted to galley and front door windows. Recent new carpet throughout. Hull blacked summer 2021. BSS Safety certificate valid until August 2027. Recent new batteries (2 x 100Ah) 12 volt and 240 volt lighting throughout 3 x 240v twin sockets fitted to rear mid and front. Rear twin socket is also USB for phone charging. Lots of ropes, mooring pins, lump hammer, armco piling hooks and two windlasses. Barge pole and hook stored internally. Front has a removable waterproof canvas cratch cover and rear deck has an easily removable tarp cover, both front and rear deck areas are self draining when left uncovered. The back deck flooring is sound proofed to minimise engine running noise.Engine: Lister petter water cooled, twin cylinder inboard diesel marine engine, recent oil change and antifreeze to freshwater keel cooled system. Accessible weed hatch and stern gland greaser tube, float switch fitted for auto stern gland catch bilge pump operation . Key box and outside 240v socket fitted to back deck. The back deck has a lockable steel hinged door either side enclosing the back deck, especially ideal if you have children or a dog. Recently repainted is a tidy looking boat.. Absolute bargain when compared to other boats out there. Currently moored outside Tattenhall marina ( CH3 9NE) on the Shropshire Union canal just south of Chester. Viewing by appointment only as you will need directions. There is mooring availability in the marina – Bud’s cost was just £443 a quarter to moor there.
