The boat was bought earlier this year, and my wife and I have spent a great deal of time totally repainting her. A new starter and exhaust system have been fitted, as well as a solar panel and a new starter battery. The oil and filters have been changed and the stern gland repacked. There is a new Thetford 565P cassette toilet. We have cruised many miles on her, but coming back from Chester recently, we scraped the bottom and this has caused a small leak, which needs mopping every few days. To fix this the boat will eventually need to come out of the water, which could be combined with blacking the hull, last done in October 2018. The anodes are good. There is other work to be done. The shower does not work, and there is a gas/electric (caravan type) fridge which has been checked by a professional and works, but is not currently fitted. The lighting is fine, but the 12v sockets do not work. The gas cooker, 2 rings, grill and oven work well and there are 2 gas bottles. When we called in at the boat yard in Nantwich recently Mick Sivewright, who built the boat in1989, said it looked good and the engine ran well.Because of its size, the boat can be turned almost anywhere. It is moored on a quiet and economical mooring at a farm near Market Drayton, Shropshire. The leak is one of a number of reasons which have led us to offer the boat for sale now at a low reserve price, and which we will explain to anyone interested. This is a chance to start canal cruising immediately and make improvements over time. We are happy to answer any questions and arrange viewings of the boat.
