Your own little home for less than £10000. Just half an hour away from London in the beautiful Berkhamsted, Water Sprite is ready for a new skipper!The boat is fully functional but definitely needs a lot of love (as you can see from the pictures), she sails well and doesn’t take on water.What the boat has:- Lister SR2 engine. Good strong diesel engine, last serviced in 2016. Smoky when fully in gear, could do with a clean.- 2 gas bottles- Hurth gearbox, fully rebuilt and refurbished in 2017- Morco water heater- Solar panel with MPPT controlled- 12v electrics throughout- 1 starter battery, 2 leisure batteries- Thetford portable toilet (brand new, in box)- Small fridge- Gas powered oven and hob- Kitchen sink- Shower/small bath- 2 small fire extinguishers and a fire blanket What needs doing:- The walls and ceiling were artexed with incredibly thick, ugly artex that made the space inside smaller and sharp (!) so this has been removed. This is the most noticeable job that needs doing, half of walls and ceiling need new panelling- The front of the boat has a peeling piece of ply wood that needs to be replaced with marine ply- could do with a good sanding and coat of paint- cupboards on the inside need doors fitting- bed needs reattaching to the wall once the panelling has been done- chimney needs a chimney cap- I am sure there are more cosmetic jobs so a viewing is recommendedI have been told that she was last out of the water in 2015 and the hull was blackened then, maintenance carried out. This is such a cute little boat and with some proper care and attention could make a great little home for someone.
