Priced low for quick sale as we now live very far from the boat. The boat will be sold as seen (sale is for boat only, not mooring). As per the below, it needs some work as per the survey and some cosmetics but has always been a great boat and will suit somebody who’s willing to give it the TLC it needs. Only serious offers please – we have had other people let us down, so only interested in people who have the funds and are ready to purchase. Lovely 32ft narrowboat moored in central London, which has been cherished but now needs a new home. We moved out of London a few years back and have started a family, so now are struggling to get there to use it as much as we used to. The boat is in need of some TLC and should be ideal for somebody looking for a project to restore her to her former glory. As we haven’t been able to give the boat much attention over the last few years, she’s started to look tired and would definitely benefit from some TLC. The interior, as shown in one of the photos, needs new tongue and groove boards fitted on the sides at the front, which were removed to upgrade the insulation in the sides of the boat and re-apply red oxide paint to the interior of the hull. It would also benefit from a coat of paint inside as there are some marks where water has got in from windows being left open in the rain. The boat was built in 1978 by Shropshire Union Boat Builders Ltd. with a steel hull and fibreglass top. Around 8 years back the interior was refitted with modern appliances such as Smev oven/grill, Smev hobs, Dometic fridge, Propex heatsource air blown heating, speakers and new electrics with 12v mini circuit breaker boards. The interior layout is open plan with benches that convert to a bed at the front, table in the centre with seats and L shaped galley at the rear. There’s a small toilet area at the back, which used to also have a shower fitted, but is currently removed (tray still there should another be added). The rear decking has had self draining installed and new deck boards were installed last year. There is a canopy cover at the back, although this has stretched and dried over the years so may need replacing in the near future. The water tank is located at the front of the boat and has been relined with new bitumen shortly after the refit. We had a full hull survey and hull blacking carried out last year (extracts attached), which highlighted the need for some overplating. The full survey can be made available on request. The surveyor valued the boat at around £15,000 in light of the the work required. The Boat Safety Cert was renewed earlier this year, so runs until Feb ’23. The engine is a Lister SR2, which was renovated shortly after the interior fit out (including new piston rings, etc.). It’s always been a very reliable engine – the boat has navigated pretty much the full canal system in its life. There are two batteries (1 starter, 1 leisure) with a space for one more. There is a shore line connection, with galvanic isolator and battery charger fitted. As mentioned, the boat used to be our pride and joy, but sadly now is looking tired and needs a new home with somebody who’s willing to take on a bit of a project to bring her back to her former condition.
