This is a Project Boat which is currently afloat on a mooring in Bristol Harbour but it will need to be removed from the mooring within a month of any sale being agreed. Boat Safety Certificate (BSC) is valid until 2022Built around 1978 this 37ft narrow boat is thought to be an ex hire boat from the Anglo Welsh fleet. She has a sliding roof section forward of the galley area, which would need some attention before it could actually be slid backwards and forwards. The boat is very basic inside having been partially refitted some years ago but the work was never finished and it has suffered since with slight but persistent water ingress from the window fittings. The boat has been insulated and clad in tongue and groove pine but the work is unfinished and is perhaps better redone from scratch. There is a stainless steel sink unit with cold water supply from a water tank in the bow but no hot water provison, nor any heating. The boat currently has no toilet or bathroom fitted. There is a double V berth forward under the bow deck and a free standing 4ft pine frame bed. The aft deck is in need of some welding repairs with rust to the U channels supporting the decking boards, which themselves are in need of replacement. There is no heating system and only a round hole in the roof where the wood burner used to be. The boat has been wired for both 12v and 240 volt (when on hook up shore power) both of which appear to work as they should. The engine is a 2 cylinder air cooled Lister which has had very little use in recent years but seems to start and run fine. The boat was lifted and put on the hard in summer 2018 and the hull was scrubbed and re blacked, anodes checked and in the opinion of the boatyard, the hull metal was sound. (See photos of her on stands taken in 2018) The cabin sides, decks and roof need a full repaint. The interior and exterior photos were taken 3 years ago and everything is now a little more tired than it was then. Inside the seat cushions have gone mouldy due to the rain water leaks from the windows and some of the pine panelling has come away from the sides. If I get the chance, I will take some new photos but these give a reasonably good idea. There is no reserve on this sale, so don’t bid too much as buying the boat will only be the start of your expenses. If you are a practical person, there is nothing that you won’t be able to do yourself – but you must move it from the mooring after buying it
