40 Foot Narrowboat / Canal Boat Based In London – Ideal Liveaboard

Dragonfly – 3 berth 40 foot steel Narrowboat with traditional stern. Ideal live aboard. Ideal length for Londons busy waterways as she is easy to moor and can turn around in the width of the canal. Boat consists of bow and front deck with gas locker for 2 gas bottles, storage for anchor, ropes and buoys. Further storage lockers and a seating area on the front deck. 200 litre water tank is housed under the deck. Moving through the front double doors you enter the saloon with seating for 3/4 people on the right (convertible into a single bed) with storage lockers underneath. There is a storage cabinet to the left which can be used to stand a TV on top. An integrated (removable) table is included for dining. There is access to the water tank and further storage under the deck. Two windows to the left and the right with a radiator for the central heating under the left window. A stainless steel diesel fired stove located to the left can be used for additional heating if you don’t want to run the central heating. This is convenient as it uses fuel from the main tank and does not require electricity.From here you walk into the kitchen/galley which is equipped with a 12v Fridge/freezer, 2 burner hob, gas cooker and grill, belfast sink with cover, worktops and cupboards for storage. A 2 door hatch is to your left with further cupboards underneath and a window over the sink. There is a gas fired boiler that provides hot water. Walking down the corridor there is a further window to the left and the wet room to the right which has a heated towel rail, shower and sink and a cassette toilet and a porthole. Past the wet room is the bedroom. There is a double bed with storage underneath, a cupboard for hanging long coats/shirts etc, a cupboard at the foot of the bed and another next to the bed. A large wall mounted radiator and four portholes.The are two steps (with more storage) and a door into the engine room. Lot’s of storage in here as well as access to the engine, electrics, heating controls etc. The rear deck has access to the weed hatch, prop, prop shaft and gear box. Eberspacher diesel fired boiler feeds the central heating (fuel fed from the main tank), there are three radiators, one in the bedroom, one in the saloon and a heated towel rail in the wet room. Equipment list;- Beta marine 38 engine (fitted brand new in 2012) with approx 450 hours on the clock- Galvanic isolator- 1 starter battery, 2 90ah leisure batteries- Victron Energy 1200 watt inverter and 50 AMP charger can charge the leisure batteries from shore power (connector on rear deck) and also powers the boats 240v system. – Eberspacher diesel fired central heating- Diesel fired stove – Gas boiler for hot waterThe boat hull was last blacked 2 years ago so is due for another blacking this year.This boat has been my pride and joy for the past nine years but reluctantly I need to sell her now as I’m moving away from London. I have spent close to 60k on this boat over the years – New engine, new skin-tank for better cooling, new central heating system, new electrics including inverter/charger, refitted inside including wet room, new kitchen, new external paint, all pumps have been replaced (water, shower, bilge) plus many other things.
