Welcome onboard Narrowboat Willow.
Willow recently has had a complete overhaul. It was taken
back to bare steel, inside and out, has been treated and refitted with high
quality marine grade materials and is now ready to move into or use for
holidays.
It has a good head height of 190 cm and it passed its Boat Safety
Test after the fitting.
The steel is sound, with an average of 7.44 mm thickness.
The hull is protected by epoxy and new anodes and the top has been professionally
spray painted and polished. On the inside all the steel of the bilge, walls and
ceiling has been treated and primed before adding insulation and ballast. See
below for details.
A lot of the interior has been made out of solid 60 mm Elm. Including
the flooring, worktop, steps, table, seats and shelves. The window frames,
doors and custom made television frame have been made with Sapele wood (African
mahogany), which has a beautiful marble-like grain.
A brand new multifuel stove keeps it cosy inside while the equally
new gas boiler provides the tap and shower with hot water.
The kitchen has a small fridge, a separate freezer, two gas
hobs, a gas oven and a solid copper sink and splashback.
The bed doubles as a couch and can be turned from a single
into a double. It comes with a brand new futon mattress.
A solar panel keeps the Lithium battery topped up while cruising,
and when moored the mains electricity can be plugged in. There are plenty of plug
sockets throughout the boat and the fitted lights create a pleasant ambiance in
the evenings.
The clean and freshly painted engine bay has fully working,
3 cylinder, 35 horsepower Beta Marine engine and a new starter battery.
Paint on the hull: Two coats Corrosion inhibiting
primer, two coats Jotun aluminium flakes epoxy undercoat and two coats of Jotun
HB Flexi two part epoxy.
Insulation: 50mm Ecoquilt .
Electrics: 2000
watt inverter, 320 watt solar panel, Mppt Solar charge controller, Renogy dcto
DC charger, 400Amp Lithium battery with built in battery management.
The 12volt circuit powers the bilge pump, fresh water pump,
shower pump and part of the lighting. The 240volt circuit powers the
sockets and the remaining lights.
The non-residential mooring can potentially be kept, subject
to agreement with the boatyard. There is a crane available on site in case you’d
want to lift it out of the water.
I have put a lot of work into creating this unique floating home for someone to
enjoy.
Willow is ready for viewing in Egham Runnymede Boatyard, close to London
Heathrow airport.

Nic.
