45ft Narrow Boat

I have recently come into possession of my Dad’s narrow boat. Unfortunately, my dad was diagnosed with an illness nearly 2 years ago, and his health has now sadly declined too much for him to carry on with his beloved boat. The boat was brought back in 2005 and has been my dads pride and joy, working on it throughout the entire time it’s been off the water. we spent two years on the water and it was then taken out in 2007 for renovation. Sadly, it has never returned to the water. I really hate to see the boat go as it has  played a big part of my dads life for the past 18 years, but life has got in the way and we are having to say goodbye. This has been an active project until very recently, maybe 6 months ago. I personally would say the boat is 90% complete.When the boat was purchased, it had an outboard engine fitted. My dad’s plan was to put an engine inside, this did happen, but he then changed his mind and this got removed. Before he fell ill he planned to have the boat hydraulically driven, so it is fitted with a partial hydraulic drive system. This can obviously be stripped out, and fitted with your desired choice of propulsion. The hull was shot blasted and 2 pack resin coated in 2022. It had 4x annodes fitted 6 months ago. The boat has had no inspections since it has been out of the water, last inspection being in 2003. So I am listing this as an active project. The plan was to finally get the boat back in the water next year, but as I’ve mentioned, my dads health has deteriorated and this is no longer possible.   Haulage will need to be arranged by the buyer.
