We have just completed extensive work on the hull of this 1979 Springer, so she’s ready to fly through survey, we will even lift the boat for free to accommodate this. We’ve rebuilt both the bow and stern, she’s been blacked and we’ve attached new anodes. You’ll cruise along nicely with the powerful and reliable BMC inboard diesel engine and at 45ft she’s big enough to accommodate you and your stuff as a full-time liveaboard.
Inside she has all the charm of my gran’s kitchen with a solid fuel Rayburn to keep you warm and cook on. In the summer, there’s a gas cooker to do the job. Hot water comes from a gas instant heater which feeds the sinks and the shower.
As you can see from the pictures, she’s just in need of you to decorate and put your stamp on, there aren’t many boats at this price with such good hulls and engines, the rest really is just cosmetic.
We own the boat here at Hemel Marina HP1 2RZ and you can view Tuesdays-Fridays from 9-5. We are also open Saturdays from 9-3, send me a message when you’re on your way. There is some BSS until Oct 25 but no mooring offered with Ratty’s Raft. You can collect from us, we’re on the Grand Union Canal north of London or we can deliver anywhere in mainland UK for a fee.
