Hi there, thanks for checking out my listing for my canal boat NB Toby. He’s a 2/3 berth liveaboard, 46ft trad-stern steel hull with a wood top, powered by a Bukh 2 cylinder 4 stroke 20hp diesel engine. BSS boat safety until July 20231 starter 2 leisure battery. 201812v/240v sockets throughout. 800W inverter195w solar panel & mppt controller. 2020New shower unit. 2020New kitchen from Ikea. 2020New outer roof. 2021New diesel air heater. 2020Villager Puffin multi fuel stove.Morco D61 boiler. 2018I bought him nearly 3 years ago after he’d been abandoned and neglected and have been gradually doing him up bit by bit. He’s been my home since I bought him and had no intention of selling him, hence the unfinished look, but my circumstances have changed in the last year and I’m stretching myself trying to finish Toby off so I’m having to reluctantly sell. It’s a great space to live in year round; warm and cosy in winter and bright and airy in summer. The wood top is a great feature and in very good condition with no leaks. I replaced the outer roof and some of the outer side panels last month so there’s plenty of life left in the structure, I’m able to walk the length of the roof with confidence. The engine starts every time and has been absolutely solid, it’s happiest chugging along at walking pace. I’ve installed 240v power through a 800w inverter and RCD supplying 5 dual sockets, 2 with USB, and a 4 gang socket, both fridge and oven run on 240v. A split charge relay charges the 2 leisure batteries when the engine’s running and the 195w solar panel trickle charges the batteries when you’re moored up. Gas 4 ring hob & grill, and boiler for running hot and cold water for the kitchen and shower, both of which are brand new; kitchen from Ikea, shower tray from Midland Chandlers. Stove has new glass and bricks. Sale includes all furniture on the boat: leather sofa, cupboard unit, breakfast bar and 2 stools and a bookcase. As the title says, this has always been a project boat for me and the asking price reflects the condition of the boat with everything I had in mind completed including chimney flue repair, new water & bilge pump and outer sides repainted, however I am willing to sell as seen for a lower price if you are happy with the condition it is in. My approach to refurbishing it has always been based on a budget and my skill level so please don’t expect perfection-I’m no master carpenter, plumber or electrician! The photos show Toby how he has always been under my ownership and are a guide to the boat overall, I’ll add photos of his progress. Again to be clear, the asking price reflects the condition of the boat by the end of this listing, if you’re happy with the boat as it is I will consider a lower offer. There’s too much to write about Toby here so please do message if you have any questions, I’ll do my best to answer. If you’re looking for a boat that you can literally move onto straight away then Toby could be the boat for you! I’m a genuine seller, with a genuinely good boat so the expectation is you’re a genuine buyer with the funds and ability to complete the sale. The boat will only be released upon transfer of funds, BACS only please. Sold as seen. Viewing recommended to avoid disappointment. The boat does not come with the moorings and as such would need to be moved from its current mooring from the moment of sale, or I can provide contact details for the yard owner if you wanted to stay on.Thanks again for looking!
