I bought this as a project after renovating a narrowboat for my daughter previously. I just haven’t got around to it – now renovating a house for my son – bloody kids!Anyhow, Danny Boy is a 52ft (6’10” Beam) CRT registered vessel no’ 62207She had a Hull inspection report three years ago – any work suggested, has been completed by Craftsmen at Bristol Marina. The hull has then been blacked.Fitted with a Volvo Penta engine which was completely stripped down, serviced and rebuilt by Marine engineers. This is a project which requires finishing, I reckon about 70% is completed leaving the final fixings, decor and fitting – the nice bits. The renovation work has been done to a very high standard, including a new, professionally fitted water channelled non slip deck, New gearing system, New windows, All first fix electrics and plumbing completed, ballast and flooring fitted, new laminated flooring, fully insulated and timber cladded by a professional joiner – the window surrounds internally are very sleek. Kitchen units fitted, timber worktops fitted, shower room ready for second fix.Large lounge area fore and room for beds at the aft,Danny Boy will make an ideal live aboard or boat to rent out – depending on use this would make a great family boat (let out £1,250 per week mid season?)She has a dry mooring at the moment on a boatyard (near Lymm Cheshire). You can continue to use this mooring to carry on the renovation work, the boat yard had cranes for moving and loading onto a flatbed to transport by road, and a slip way to launch onto the canal network.I can assist with all contacts if needed.I have added the “Best Offer” however this is to be above the starting price. She is also advertised privately so I reserve the right to remove the listing.I’ve tried to upload the hull survey but it’s 12 pages long, so I could only add a pic of the first page and a copy of an Invoice for some of the works. NB All works carried out as above, I have asked for invoices for works done just prior to me purchasing Danny Boy – if the marina agree I will try to add these.Visited the boat for the first time in weeks today and found that quite a lot of water had got in – the doors were not closed properly and a vent un-covered. I’ve added a couple of photos – the damage is not too bad but some of the cladding towards the front will have to be removed as it has swollen and discoloured. The good news is that there is enough spare tongue and groove timber to replace it. I would also suggest a de-humidifier for a while.
