Thelma is a 1974 Narrowboat. Hull was built by Black country Narrowboats. I bought this boat in 2020 in need of a full restoration. I have replaced the complete Superstructure The frame has been rebuilt using 2×4 Treated timber for the frame. The outer skin is covered in 2 layers of 9mm Phenolic resin impregnated ply board. Between these layers is a layer of Tyvec house wrap. We lived onboard this boat for 2 years and have traveled from Tardebigge to Milton Keynes and then up the Trent to Doncaster. Very sad to sell the boat but it will be a good home for someone.The boat has 1.2kw of solar on the roof, Solar heated hot water ran via a Bobil van System. Can also be used with a Chinese diesel heater and the fittings are all there for this and is fully electric. Kitchen includes an Induction hob, mini oven and a full size 7kg washing machine. The boat has the ability to sleep 5 people. The 3 single beds in the front cabin are 3ft wide by 5ft 10 long. The double bed in the rear cabin converts into a sofa for daytime use. Has a full size roll top bath with Ball and claw feet and a centre tap and shower function. Chemical Toilet and sink with cabinet underneath and extra storage. The front of the boat has a 15ft Tarp area this is a great outdoor living space. Fitted with 2 bench seats from a VW Caravelle for seating and a removeable table. Forward of this area is a Potters cabin. This is about 8ft deep and the only part of the original boat that we could save. This is great for storage. The Engine was seized when I bought this boat I had it removed and rebuilt. I was able to pick up a 2nd engine at the time and had the engineer make the best from the 2 engines. This was rebuilt in 2020. Cost almost £4k It is a Petter PJ2 Aircooled engine. I have Lots of photos from the rebuild and had the boat surveyed and blacked in 2020 when I bought it. The blacking needs redoing now. The boat has a BSC until 2025. Will also include Molly the rowboat includes oars and 4 life jackets Boat is moored near Doncaster. Mooring not included but you maybe able to negotiate this with CRT.
