70ft new Narrowboat. Offers over £50kThis is an unusual one! Reluctant Sale. Unfinished and sold as is.Due to personal circumstances changing and me also now wanting a smaller boat I’m “considering if the price is right” selling my Narrowboat that I had built mid last year. I bought it after a long wait as a sailaway (barrus 50hp engine) from Orchard Marine/Collingwood and had it custom built with some nice extras in the design. It is on hardstanding now although was in the water for 5 weeks in summer whilst waiting for space in the marina boatyard.Up until Nov/Dec I have had joiners doing the internal fitout to my spec (two beds) with all panels, wiring, plumbing etc now in place (a surprisingly very expensive process!). Due to my elderly mother breaking a hip at the beginning of Dec work has come to a standstill over the last 7 weeks and I’m now struggling to find the time or motivation to finish it.It still needs the bathroom and kitchen fitting and oak trim etc. As I was planning on keeping it I have not pursued an RCD. It has the calorifier in place and the diesel bubble stove has gone in but still needs the flue.It is still a project and work will hopefully resume when I find time however I thought I’d see what interest there is as if the price was right I’d consider selling as is. It is a brand new boat. The benefit over buying from a builder is that it is already built so no long waits and it is already partially fitted to a good standard. I’m completely undecided on what to do. I’d consider offers over £50k. I estimate it will need another £5k ish spending depending on what kitchen/floor you choose etc. It will be a very good looking boat when finished with some nice additions that I specified at build (eg 2ft extra on the pinched bow/well deck so you can fit a sun lounger, extra large water tank etc! It also has a very stylish and spacious stern area.) so thought it may be of interest to somebody not wanting to start from scratch. I paid the builder extra to have it primed, under coated and given a top coat ready for final painting so it is water proof as is.The boat is currently based in Hull. Transport costs to London by road are approx £900, I can put you in touch with the company I have used and had a quote from. Thanks
