Amber was built by Waterways Engineering in 1992 and has been well maintained, she has had a recent survey in May 2022 at the same time as being blacked. Before being blacked there were remedial works completed on the hull as recommended by the surveyor. The hull survey showed a minimum of 5.8mm thickness all over. She has a BSS valid until August 2026.
Amber is 50ft in length, 6? 10? in beam, with a draught of 29? and with a gross weight of around 18 tonnes. Previously a cafe boat which ran for many vears in Gloucester Docks,
Amber has now been beautifully re-converted into live-aboard with open space at the front to enable the new owner to make it their own.
The layout of the boat consists of an engine room/garage at the rear, followed by the bedroom, the toilet and shower room, the kitchen, and with the open plan living and dining area at the front. There is plenty of space at the front for additional beds/sofa bed if required.
A large kitchen space with a 5 hob gas cooker, oven, instant hot water boiler, two sinks, Marine electric fridge. Four wooden seats and two wooden tables positioned by the opening hatches on both sides of the boat, complete set of cutlery dishes cups etc. The two hatches are a unique part of Amber which gives her extra air flow and light.
On the roof there are 5 solar panels, 4 of which can be angled to face the sun. 3000W inverter with 6000W boost which is enough to power anv 230v UK socket appliance along with 6 Leisure batteries.
There is a separate shower room and a separate toilet room with a sink and cassette toilet. Cassette toilet has one spare tank. There are two wood burning stoves on the boat, one at the front in the living area, and one smaller one at the rear where there is the bedroom with a fixed double bed. There is a wastewater tank which is 1000L, because of this tank the existing toilet could easily be replaced with a pump out toilet if required and this could be done at no extra cost.
The engine is a refurbished Beta Marine 38, fitted 5 years ago, a good and strong engine with less than 160 hours of run time on the clock. A brand new alternator was also fitted in 2023. Since the boat was previously a cafe, there is also the opportunity to use it as a cafe boat too for anyone who wants to set up as a roving trader or stationary, I have the additional cafe seats in storage.
