ARCADIA 40ft CANAL BOAT
I bought the boat from an auction online without viewing it!
I thought it was advertised as collection from PR6 which I
believed to be Preston.
It turns out I had mis read the post code and it was PE6
which is Peterborough!
After several trips and lots of work carried out, I have
come to realise the task to complete the refurbishment is too much for me, so
I’m reluctantly offering her for sale.
Here is a list and cost of work that has been carried out thus
far: –
Replacement of 3 leisure batteries £450
Replacement of main battery £150
Replacement of starter motor £90
Replacement of alternator £100
Removal and service of transfer box £100
Oil and filter service £75
New engine deck covers £225
Boat safety gas certificate £150
New internal flooring £220
As you can see from the video all the mechanical work is
complete and she is available as a running restoration project. She would definitely
benefit from a full exterior repaint.
With a bit of time and effort she can be restored to her
former glory and become a very usable and presentable craft.
