For sale is my 60ft Traditional stern Colecraft Narrowboat. A very well renowned boat builder of quality shells.Fitted out by the great Warble Narrowboats, who where known for the high quality interior finish to their boats. This is 1989 and has been my live aboard for the last 4 months, whilst I did a few jobs on her.Basic design as follows, from the larger than average front deck, there are 2 gas bottles in the front locker with loads of storage space for hosepipes, mooring pins, tools etc, there is a water tank below the front deck, glazed front panels either side of front double doors which lead down in to the lounge area, under the steps is the water pump and expansion tank. The lounge has the morso squirrel stove, small corner storage cupboard, open plan into the walk through kitchen area, to the right is the cooker, washing machine, fridge and freezer all under a black gloss worktop, to the left is a range of drawers with a worktop above. Small dining area. The bathroom is off a corridor and has the Dometic 911 pump out toilet, a wash basin with storage underneath and a square shower cubicle, there is also storage cupboard for towels etc, the shower has a new whale gulper pump fitted, the corridor leads in to the bedroom at the rear of the boat, currently has a 4ft bed with a new mattress in May and 2 storage cupboards, a small storage cupboard above the head of the bed with a light, and a wall mounted tv. There is a door leading in to the engine room. She needs a few cosmetic bits finishing and I will continue to do these when time permits, but I am happy to show you round. If your looking to buy quickly I am happy to let you finish anything else and I can move off quickly, as I do have a newer boat that I can move on to. Hence the reason for the sale of this one, You could move on to the boat tomorrow.Thorneycroft BMC engine.PRM gearbox.Sterling 3000w pure sine inverter.New RCD box.Pump out toilet with a dump through tank.12 volt and 240 voltsshoreline.1KW immersion heater in calorifier. She starts well, usual puff of smoke on start up, the engine will have a service before end of sale, engine has not been used for a few years, so I will not be offering any guarantees on its condition, however she moves through the water very nicely indeed, as you would expect from the Colecraft shell, and I am happy to take genuine interested parties for a quick cruise up the arm from the marina. So far I have done the following work:New kitchen worktops.New sinkNew Lec fridge 240vNew Lec freezer 240v New Beko washing machine, all 240 volts but AAA rated, so really more efficient than even the 12v items.New Statesman Legacy cooker with oven and grill. New seals to the toilet and a new seat.3 new 110ah batteries, New Victron energy galvanic isolatorNew whale shower gulper pump.I have taken out the Aldi heater as it was leaking water and they are not very efficient, I have been considering which heating system to put in, but at the moment there is not one fitted, obviously this would be discussed with the new owner, I have been using the log burner and small electric oil radiators, the immersion heater/calorifier heats the water. There is a small dining table which seats 2 but there are 4 chairs with the sale, so with a little bit of thought could be turned into a 4 seater. I am happy with the current set up as I live alone and it does double up as a little office area for the lap top and paperwork. In the lounge area is a morso squirrel stove.Boat safety was done at the start of the year, so good for 3 and a half years, I had the boat out of the water in April for blacking and whilst out there was some spot welding carried out on several pitted areas to bring up to good condition. The hull in my opinion looked very good for the age and did not need any major work, I did a thickness test and results where generally around the 5.7 on the sides, I understand it was originally 6mm, but obviously I am not a qualified person but have seen plenty of boats to know a good one from a bad one. This one I am very happy to live on.I am in the process of finishing a bit of touch up on the paint here and there, but the original blue panels have come up well with a polish and T cut, but it is not perfect so please do not come expecting a new boat.I will add more pictures and more information when I finish jobs but if you want to come and see her, please ask and I will be happy to show you round, but please remember, she is still being worked on and she is my live aboard, so you will find paint pots around.Viewings strictly by appointment with myself only, it is a private sale and nothing to do with the marina where she is moored, moorings may be available but you will have to speak to a member of the staff on site to discuss your requirements. I can assist with moving her to your mooring area if you needed help.Whitchurch in Shropshire
