Here I’m extremely reluctantly listing my home of almost 7 years. ‘Ewok’ is a solid boat, not a show boat bear in mind, but a very nice and honest example. She was built in 2002 by GT Boats in Staffordshire, who are known to have produced nice strong shells that look and swim well. She is fitted with a Beta 43 engine which has been faultless and has never let me down throughout ownership. She has took me all over the UK canal network and starts first turn every time. The hull is of the nominal thickness of  10mm Base, 6mm /10mm Uxter plate, 6mm hull sides 4mm Cabin. I had a survey done when I purchased her which came back to be in great condition. I have since then blacked her twice applying at least 3 coats both times. She was last blacked in October 2023 at Bluepoint marine in Liverpool. Whilst out the water for blacking, I had her surveyed and, again, the report came back to be in great condition. If you are genuinely interested, send me a email and I can send over a copy of ewok’s recent survey for your own analysis. The boat was painted a few years back using craftsmaster coach enamel in ‘favourite  green’ and raddle red roof and decks, The sides and gunnels are pretty spot on, the deck and roof areas have some small rust blemishes showing which are not affecting the structure of the boat. The inside of the boat is a lovely cosy space to live in winter or summer. The kitchen has an esse pressure jet range cooker that runs on the same diesel that the engine runs on. It’s the heart of the boat and heats up in roughly 30 mins although you can use the hot plates after 10.It cooks your food lovely and pumps out a considerable amount of heat. I love this cooker so much that I’ve bought the exact same one for my new boat that I will be moving onto shortly. The worktops at the sink areas (bathroom and kitchen) and shower area, have been done in a waterproof lime plaster called ‘tadelakt’ it’s a beautiful surface that has a lovely earthy look to it. The bedroom is a lovely area to relax and is nice to lie in bed with the back doors open to look out over the canal. This boat will be sorely missed as it’s been a great part of my life.I hope someone will enjoy it and keep loving it, just like I have, for many years to come. My only reason for sale is that I recently purchased a widebeam that presented an opportunity I couldn’t refuse. Even whilst writing this, I’m considering selling the widebeam and staying on ewok. She is a great boat that oozes charm.
