A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN HISTORIC EX-WORKING NARROWBOAT “JUNO”Juno was constructed in 1935 by Harland & Wolff, she was originally a GUCCC butty and was converted to a motor in 1980 by Malcom Braine fitting a Lister HB3M in the process. The engine has had a recent rebuild. She is listed on the National Register of Historic Vessels and was originally of composite construction, elm bottom and iron riveted sides. She is 70 foot long.We purchased her in 2012 with the dream of converting her to our ideal liveaboard. Her elm bottom was unfortunately beyond financial repair and was completely replaced with 10mm steel plates by R.W.Davies & Sons at Gloucester. They also replaced the oak gunwales and reskinned the back cabin/engine room/galley extension. She has a traditional boatmans cabin with access to engine room. Her full length tarpaulins are supported by rigid sides or can be removed and her original posts and boards can be used.Due to ill health, our dreams can not be fulfilled and Juno has been sat idle for a number of years. It is with great reluctancey that we are offering her for sale. She will be a great project for the right person either as a liveaboard, or as a working business as she is pretty much a blank canvas. For viewing or further information about Juno, please message me.Please, no time wasters as again, we are selling her reluctantly.
