ILIOS our narrowboat was
built in 1995 and accommodation comprises of, from the stern.. Open cruiser
stern, good for socialising. Entering the boat there is a full hight cupboard
housing the inverter and battery charger, some shelves and room for coats etc.
Next is the bedroom with a double bed storage space
under and over, The bathroom is next with cassette toilet, washbasin and
shower. You then enter he kitchen, delightful airy space with gas cooker,
electric fridge, sink and ample worktops. There are high and low level
cupboards and 240v electric sockets.
Forward to the lounge which has a sofa bed, to make
up the 4 berth accommodation a table and a solid fuel stove.
At the bow of the boat is the cratch with a
triangle window facing forward and a full cover. there are 2 seats and a table
and lockers for the water tanks and ropes etc.
Heating and hot water is provided by the
Eberspacher boiler or when the engine is running. There is also a socket to
hook up to shore power when available.
The Boat Safety Certificate is valid until December
this year but boat will be sold with a new certificate.
The engine was replaced with the Nanni in October
2020 – an ex ships lifeboat engine with less than 100 hours running time.
ILIOS was slipped at 4 All Marine in Chertsey in
December 2021, where she was inspected, pressure washed and 4 coats of
Intertuf16 blacking applied. No welding was required to the hull and 4 new
anodes were fitted..
We have owned ILIOS since 2012 and it has mostly
been moored in Hampton where we owned the small boatyard.
In retirement we have decided to sell her as we
have relocated to Somerset.
ILIOS is currently on a leisure mooring which may
be available short term by negotiation with the Boatyard
