We are only selling due to end of life health problems.This 45 foot narrowboat, “Serenity” was built in 1978 by Harborough Marine, and has a cruiser stern and an enclosed bow. It is an ongoing project, being an open plan interior that has only been partially completed.She is currently on a private mooring in the beautiful village of Brewood, Shropshire with uninterrupted views of the countryside. The mooring fees have been paid up to February 2021.We have driven her several hundred miles over the past four years around Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, and Shropshire.The engine is not currently starting, and the engine needs a service. It was running smoothly until early 2020 before the lockdown. Lister SR3 engines are almost indestructible. The boat has been partially sunk three times in its history and the engine was fixed and restarted easily each time.The open deck leads down to an open plan interior, fully lined and ready for fitting out or for furniture to be placed. We have enjoyed many nights on board using removable furniture.Lots of attention is currently needed to the interior and the engine due to 8 months of neglect, hence the giveaway price. Work is required, this is not ready to move onboard nor drive away.
