Original style Birmingham Canal Navigation butty boat , this is a rare boat it has an iron riveted hull and a modern mild steel cabin , it is pointed at both ends and therefore can only house an outboard engine , this is fine and does not effect the performance when navigating the canal. The boat is 69ft 6” x 6ft 11”. The cabin size is approximately 52ft. The interior has been full insulated with spay foam and panelling of American white Ash has been applied and varnished. It has been fully wired to all sockets and lights and goes back to a central area for a consumer unit ,240 and 12 volt . It has 2 bedrooms a bathroom and kitchen , there is a large living area. No plumbing has been done at this stage , there is a working oven , there is no gas onboard at this time but I can show you the oven working. There is a water tank approximately 1’500 litres yet to be fitted. Most of the hard work has been done , this would make a good project for a keen DIY person .
