Uppacut was built in 1979 by the Mindon boat company and has a perfectly working SR3 Lister engine.it has been recently over plated to high standard and was surveyed earlier this year; the hull was found to be sound.The reason I originally bought upacut was i’d been living on a 40ft narrowboat for 8yrs and decided to get a bigger boat (my original boat is up for sale too). I was looking for a boat that was already fitted out but they were all above my price range. So I decided on upacut as i had experience of fitting out before and knew what it entailed. I sailed upacut from Hills Morton on the oxford canal to milton Keynes single handed with no problems. Then lo and behold another boat all fitted out ready to go turns up so i bought that as well. This means I now have 3 boats and 2 of them have to go. I paid over the odds for upacut (18k) I knew it was over priced but I was keen to get started. Whilst moving upacut i became quite attached to her so if I don’t get a reasonable return I shall stick to my original plan ,take a year off and do it myself.Only bid on this boat if you have an inkling of what you are getting into. You really should come and have a good look at her to get an idea of what you are bidding on.If you come and look at her then I will send you a copy of the survey via email, I am doing it that way so I know who the serious bidders are as no doubt there will be a number of time wasters. To give you a ball park figure i want around 14k and will not let it go for less (no doubt this will be ignored and daft offers will be made). Bear in mind i’m not desperate for cash and have an alternative plan of action.Preferably payment will be made by bank transfer and a deposit of £500 at the end of the auction would be nice. if a deposit or contact not made within 24hrs of the auction ending then I shall relist or remove from sale.
