Hi, The pride of Suzanne was built in 1991 by bob kaye as a private build. It is 43ft long plus the fenders. It should be classed as a Trad narrowboat, but it was ingeniosly built with parts of either side of the rear standing area being removable so that it can also be a semi trad, therefore you can use this area for accompanying crew members to stand or sit .Boat safety is until August 2020. We have had the boat from March this year and only used it to go to 2 local pubs, hence we are selling the boat because of not using it. It is moored in a local marina to Tamworth which has a possibility of continued mooring. The engine is a BMC 1.8 marinised diesel, PRM gearbox, both have been recently serviced and new throttle cable, gear cable and a new throttle lever ( Morse type) added. The engine also generates hot water by a large calorifier when in use. There is also a working Paloma instant hot water heater in the galley. There is a Torglow solid fuel back boiler fire which also feeds 1 radiator in the bedroom. Also on the boat is a 3 way Electrolux fridge and a Valor vannette 4 hob cooker with grill and oven. From entering the boat at the stern you reach the bedroom with ample built in wardrobe storage and under bed boxed storage. A permanent 4ft bed is just before the bathroom which has a wash hand basin, porta potti 365 cube and a 3/4 bath with shower over. Next comes the galley with all you would expect, cooker, fridge, microwave, kettles etc and the solid fuel stove is opposite. Then there are the 2 x 6ft6″ fixed settee’s which can double up as additional beds if required. The forward cratch has seating either side with under storage for tools, wood, coal etc.The boat was last blacked in 2016 and looks in good order, I have put a coat of paint on the upper sides/ roof and generally smartened the boat up a bit. There are also 3 new batteries on the boat and a new starter motor.I would be very willing to take any serious purchaser out for a short journey to see how the boat handles if required.I do not have survey with this boat, this is my hobby and generally when you look at a boat both inside and out you can generally tell whether the hull / engine requires work. This boat is now in excellent condition and you will not need to spend any money on it to make it a usable from the start. You can telephone with any further questions you may have on Tamworth 01827 67212 thanks keith
