“Dayeq is in good condition overall
generally”
For sale, my live aboard 50ft all steel narrow
boat. I have lived on her with my partner, happily for the past 5 years (all
year round).
She is a lovely, warm and homely boat, with a
great open layout with feels spacious and light.
The boat from rear (stern) to front (bow):
She has a large rear cruiser stern deck, ideal
for sitting out and cruising. Inside she has a fixed boatman style double
bedroom, bathroom with hip bath and shower inc: pump out porcelain toilet and
wash basin.
Front galley kitchen with full size sink, beach
work tops and full size lpg cooker (4 hobs, grill, oven) with kitchen storage
and units.
The lounge has a fixed dining table and large
bench style seat with a farmhouse chair. The main lounge has a large 3 seat
leather chesterfield sofa, lots of storage and cupboard space and a stove.
There is a wall mounted lcd free view tv/radio
with roaming maxi view digital set up.
She is heated via a beautiful morso squirrel
stove (solid fuel, wood and coal) with a back boiler which feeds 3 rads through
the boat- lovely and warm all year round even in -5 degrees, we were warm and
happy.
There is a pioneer stereo in the lounge with
speakers and usb, iPod hook up, the boat has LED 12volt lighting throughout,
and also 12volt sockets.
She also has 240v hook up (mains power), l don’t
use it as we continuously cruise and can charge all our power requirements from
the solar system via the 3.1 dc- usb charging ports. She has a 125watt large
solar panel, with mppt controller, and there are two USB ports in the bedroom
for charging devices. The solar panel charges the boats domestic batteries and
provides power all year round, it’s great she always has power for all
appliances and charging needs.
The front of the boat (bow) area is covered by a
cratch cover, providing a good area for storage and sitting out. The sides roll up so it is great in the summer
or winter. It’s accessed from the lounge
double, panelled doors and is a useful area.
Hot water is supplied via running the engine for
20-30mins, this will charge the batteries via the alternator and generate hot
water which is stored in a cylinder in the engine room (calorifier). This holds
ample water for two people to shower daily and all your hot water needs, it
feeds the sinks and shower.
She was recently dry docked and surveyed in
Bradford on Avon
10/4/2017.
The survey reads well and she was in good condition, we blacked her and
she had six new anodes fitted (bow, sides, stern). All works recommended were carried out and
documented. A copy of the survey will be available to the buyer.
She has a current boat safety certificate until
2021 and is currently fully comprehensively insured.
We replaced all the batteries, domestics and
starter in 29/11/2017 and the last ones lasted 5 years so they’re basically new
and working well.
Her engine had some maintenance in 09/06/2017,
new: drive plate, mounts, dampers, injector washers, filters, oil etc.
All works mentioned were documented with
receipts.
Dayeq has been my home for the past 5 years, and
still is. She is a beautiful live-aboard with a traditional feel. She has tongue and groove throughout with the
lower walls panelled with light wood and carpet. The floors are hard wearing wood effect. She
has been fitted out to a good standard and has a homely bohemian feel to her. I
have enjoyed every minute on her!
A lovely boat, ready to be used as a fully
functioning all year round home.
I have been around lots of boats over the years
and she has a lovely feel to her, spacious, light, and warm.
