Narrowboat 60ft, Hancock and lane, 1986Bss certificate untill may 2021We purchased this boat 4 months ago to move onto while we refurbished our own boat it has proved to be a very capable live aboard boat. The interior whilst not to our taste is in a very reasonable condition and is ready to go.We purchased the boat from Nantwich and cruised her back to Norfolk with no major issues. She handled well on both canals and rivers with the Lister engine proving to have more than enough power. Engine bay:-Lister St3 air cooled enginePrm 150 gearboxStainless diesal tank.Electrics:-Boat has 240v and 12v throughout.Charging is done via alternater or solar or shore power.Victron 3kva/120amp inverter/charger3 x 125w solar panels + controller to match. 4 leisure batteries. 1 starter battery.Electronic battery controllerLed lighting throughout.USB ports.Gas:-Zanussi 4 ring jobThetford Oven with separate Grill1x13kg calor bottle (empty)1x9kg calor bottle (full)Saloon:- Nice entrance area with a larger than normal central double door leading down the wide steps.Comfortable area to relax with nice large side hatch.Sofa and 12v tv included.Morso squirrel stove with back boiler running central heating system.Galley:-Nice layout with a side hatch giving a lovely light airy feel large worktop with a full size Lpg Zanussi hob and Thetford oven and seperate grill.12v Full size under counter Fridge freezerGood size Sink draining board.Plenty of hanging and storage space Morco instant water heaterBathroom:-Large spacious walk through bathroom containing a good sized shower.Vanity basin unit.Natures head composting toilet.Bedroom:-4ft Double bed with lots of storage underneath Large radiator.Wardrobe unit with plenty of hanging and shelf storage.Back cabin:-The back cabin contains all pins, chains, hammers, axes, windlases and associated traveling hardware plus a few spares all in a small area with a bench and vice (Very handy). The hatch on the back is wider than normal giving a larger area than normal on a trad stern. The boat does not come with a recent survey but it did come with a survey from 2011 when the previous owner purchased then called’retreat’. This is what we based our decision on along with a thorough in water inspection when we purchased her. The boat was blacked in 2017 with new anodes fittedThere are 3 roof boxes these contain the solar panels, anchor, warp&rope, longer chimney and a selection of paints and decorators items. All in all we have found Bones to be comfortable to live on with the solar panels being more than enough power needed for a couple to live comfortably. There is plumbing provision in the back cabin for an automatic washing machine. We removed the cratch cover on bones as the material was badly worn but we do still have the cratch board and top bar. There are obviously a few bits that will improve bones ie:- exterior painting this boat but for someone handy with a paint brush and a few tools you could not only have a lovely cruising home but you could easily increase its value.Viewing welcomed.
