Due to old age it is with much regret that we have decided to put our 8% share in narrowboat Dawn Mist up for sale. 8% shares give the owner four weeks cruising per year and the boat is managed on the owners behalf by BC Boat Management Ltd. Your weeks on the boat are determined by a list system, a bit too complex to outline here in an advertisement. She is currently based at Overwater Marina near Audlem in Cheshire. Dawn Mist was launched in 2014 and is a 61ft narrowboat, the shell being built by Nick Thorpe (Hixon, Staffs) and the fit out by Navigation Narrowboat Co. Nantwich. The boat had a full repaint in 2023 and is overall in superb condition. Dawn Mist has a reverse layout with the galley at the rear and the bedroom at the front. She is fitted with a Nanni 1.8l diesel engine, Webasto diesel central heating (plus, of course, a multi solid fuel stove in the sitting area). She comes with a full inventory of equipment and is fitted out to sleep 4 (possibly 6 if you include the fully reclining chairs), a double bed in the bedroom and the dinette converts to create another double bed. The central, walk through bathroom is accessible from both the bedroom and sitting area. The boat has on-board wi-fi.The boat has been scrupulously maintained by the syndicate with a major annual service and short service between owners on the turnround day and the interior has a valeting service between owners, all included in the annual contribution. Pets are allowed although there is a supplementary charge for additional cleaning between owners. The annual contribution to the boat has been around £1800 (2022, 2023 and 2024) although this is subject to change, depending on the maintenance / repair schedule agreed at the syndicate AGM. The owner also pays a management fee to BCBM, currently about £450 pa. The owner is responsible for the costs of diesel and pump out of the toilet holding tank. Please note that the photos are a little out of date – the overall paint scheme is the same but there are some minor differences since the repaint.The weeks booked for 2025/26 are the 2 weeks commencing 26th April, and another 2 weeks commencing 22nd November.There is much to consider when buying a share in a narrowboat and far more information is needed than can be put here.I am happy for prospective buyers to contact me via eBay where I will provide a contact number for further discussions and arrange a viewing.
