Narrowboat Helen built in 1988 by Les Allen Boat Builders. She has had a full externalrefurbishment, including overplating the baseplate and a complete respray, blacking, 6 new anodes and a hull survey all completed in 2015. BSS Cert until Oct 2020 All work to a very high standard and supervised by previous owner. A full video of the work done can be seen – Google ‘Narrowboat Helen” (I have a DVD showing the detail of the process). She has had a total internal refurbishment in 2017 to a high standard including a new Telford gas cooker and Shoreline12v fridge freezer. Her current layout is for a two berth cruiser but could be easily converted back to a 4 berth. Her engine – a BMC 1.8 diesel had a full service completed by Rodley Boats in July 2017. Steel construction:- baseplate 10mm with 6mm overplating. Hull 48’ long, sides 6mm with extra overplating on lower 6″. Cabin 4mm. Two year old Canvasman cratch cover (plus windows) and tonneau cover for semi-traditional deck. Two year old Webasto heater fitted supplying hot water and three radiators. Boatman coal burning stove in cabin. Pull out full size double bed in rear. Shower, sink and pump-out toilet in centre bathroom. Water filter fitted in kitchen. TV, life ring, 4 fire extinguishes, pole, gang plank, anchor etc included. A beautiful looking boat for cruising or as a liveaboard.
